Like all caricatures about personality types, Chad Kultgen must reduce his characters to the absurd. Unfortunately, he succeeds all too well, for absurd is precisely what this book devolves into.
The males are all obsessed with sex, as well as all the varied methods of how to have it with Miss Right Now. Or, in some circumstances, Mister Right Now, depending on the personal preferences involved. For a book that is supposed to be about the male of the species, it offers little insight into the actual intellectual process of men.
Instead, all the author offers us is the same tired cliche about how we are constantly thinking with the area 9 inches below the navel. The females at least have a variety of archetypes to choose from: Miss Desperately Seeking Husband (Whether He Wants It Or Not), Girl Next Door, Woman Every Man Secretly Wants, and of course the Extraordinarily Bossy Future Mother-In-Law all make prominent appearances, with a varied host of others making cameos throughout the book.
