One of the most important things in a book is the characters and in this one I found them to be severely lacking. Take Imogen for example, she is a selfish, loose and downright mean woman. Some of her actions along with the nasty things she says to Rafe, have me questioning if she could actually be called a heroine. Throughout the whole book, she is trying to land Gabe (his brother, that he never knew he had), but by the end she suddenly finds herself in love with Rafe, who was posing as Gabe. How she can think he is a drunk slob with no redeeming qualities one minute and the love of her life the next is beyond me. All because he stops drinking and loses a few pounds? Then we have Rafe. He is a drunk and one of the only redeeming qualities in this book is that he overcomes his drinking.
