When I began reading this novel,I loved it.Faeries have always interested me,and Melissa Marr writes them well. Her prose is almost lyrical when she talks about them(for example:"his hair shimmered like strands of copper that would slice her fingers if she ran them through it").And the plot is also quite good.Aislinn(pronounced ASH-ling)a teenaged girl, has the Sight,or ability to see faeries. However, this isn't as wonderful as it seems, because faeries can be cruel if they know you can see them. One of the few comforts in Aislinn's lonely exsistence is Seth, her best friend who she has fallen in love with, and whose house is 'safe' because it is made of steel, which faeries cannot abide.
