Putting aside the most obvious plot flaw of there just not being that many well bred lady spies out there at that time- it seems that most of these books are just using the spy game excuse to throw the heroine into unneeded, dangerous situations that lo and behold, the hero must save her from. Into this story, throw in the fact that the heroine has supposedly been spying as her brothers sidekick for years-but now he suddenly decides it's too dangerous for her. So, instead of showing a heroine with some sensibility, this one just HAS to "prove herself"-not very well, either, as the hero (an astronomy buff with no spy credentials) must continually save her. Please authors-start writing some heroines with some common sense!
