Dylan is the first one to find a guy she likes when she has detention. It is Derrick, her friend Massie's ex. boyfriend. They secretly date because they dont want Massie to know. Meanwhile, Alicia and the other girls try out for the cheer squad. Alicia has always been good with routines. She asks Massie if she can be head cheerleader and Massie says NO! So Alicia decides to make up a dance squad of her own. Kristen, on the other hand is worried about what might happen if Massie finds out that she's hanging out with Layne. The reason Kristen is hanging out with Layne is because they are both part of the scholarship program. Kristen also has a problem when she finds out the guy Massie and Layne likes actually likes herself and she doesn't know if she should tell them.
